Love Month: Turmeric Lagundi Leche Flan

Turmeric and Lagundi Leche Flan. February is love month. This week's recipe is a lean version of Leche Flan. In french - Creme Brulee that which has high amount of whole cream and eggs and finished off with torched sugar on top. This recipe depicts a lean indulgence for people with special diets and still want to have dessert. Year 2017 is a year of transparency and healthy eating. Turmeric and Lagundi are usually consumed by some as a beverage and classical international dishes uses turmeric as spice. Lagundi and turmeric as some research says it has several health benefits for the body, mind and soul. Taking it to the next level by using it in baking. Baking and Pastry Arts Academy is going to show you a hearty, homemade, delicious sweet milky confection caled Chocolate Pastillas Kisses ( shaped like Hershey's Chocolate Kisses). You may have made your favorite Filipino Pastillas (originally without chocolate), wrapped theese in crisp japanese paper and gave out us presents for friends and family. This pastillas recipe just takes about 15-20 minutes to make. Adding chocolate shavings to this recipe really made it different. Add dried fruits is optional for non-chocolate eater

To cut it short, 2018 Misa De Gallo of 9 mornings. Day 1 had an excellent choir and a singing priest. They sang “Hopiang Di Mabili” as tuned to the original opera song “La Donna y Mobile” by Luciano Pavarotti was the piece that struck me . My appreciation to the original composer of the song “Hopinag DI Mabili”and the classical composition, this is where “Hopiang Mabili” was derived from and our friends from asia where this snack originated. Not to mention that successful hopia leading brands locally and from around the world. It was because of that sweet -sounding and happy herald that a name was born.
